Between the sea and the mountains, Grasse, a city of Art and History, welcomes you to its vast territory divided into charming residential districts named after Catholic Saints ( Saint-Matthieu, Saint-Jacques, Saint-François…)

Find the calm and life of a hamlet, with its local shops, schools, markets….

The city centre, based on the typical model of Provencal villages, allows you to discover its old buildings, squares, nooks and crannies… while strolling through its narrow cobbled streets.

The imprint of perfume culture is omnipresent in this city: between museums, shops and former factories, we cannot forget that Grasse is the World Capital of Perfumes.

Taking advantage of a rather significant difference in altitude, most of the districts enjoy an absolutely extraordinary view of the sea and the bay of Cannes.

People & Neighbourhoods

The 50,000 inhabitants benefit from the proximity of the renowned companies and schools of Sophia-Antipolis, as well as from the international atmosphere of Cannes, 15 km away, with its events all year round.

Nice and its airport are only 45km away, as well as Fréjus, the gateway to discover the still wild corners of the Var.

Grasse is therefore a privileged drop-off point in the Middle East, to take advantage of the proximity of the seaside, but also of the mountains only 26km away with the resort of Gréolières. The surrounding plateaus and hills are an invitation to outdoor activities, from a simple stroll to a more sporty hike.

What You Will Love

Depending on the neighbourhood, you will enjoy the feeling of living in the countryside, while the city’s facilities and infrastructure are quickly accessible.

You will appreciate to meet many tourists, whose presence reminds you how much the historicity, authenticity and greenery of the places deserve to be valued.

You will enjoy living between the sea and the mountains and enjoying the spectacle of absolutely breathtaking landscapes.

You will also want to get involved in the history of fragrances, which remains, even today, a source of inspiration for the greatest “noses”.

You will appreciate living in a city that is part of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage for its expertise in perfume.

Due to its activity oriented towards perfumery, it hovers on certain days on Grasse with various and varied aromatic fragrances. Expect to smell, as you walk, jasmine, orange blossom and rose among many other scents…

Many events bring together local people and tourists around what makes the city so special. We can mention the Jasmine Festival, the Rallye Grasse Fleurs et Parfums or ExpoRose, which every year showcases the emblematic flowers of Grasse.

You will also be able to discover the area better thanks to the Open Days of the oil mills, every year in November, as well as the Truffle Market, for lovers of gastronomy and flavours.

The year is filled with festive events that celebrate local heritage, culture and sport.

If you are looking for a place to live with promising potential where infrastructures are constantly being improved and the city centre is being renovated, Grasse is now an essential choice for investors, with prices up to 30% lower than those of the surrounding municipalities. The city centre is undergoing a makeover, thanks to the millions invested locally.

In addition, many districts still benefit from beautiful bourgeois buildings, original farmhouses and bastides, with authentic charm, and vast lush grounds and gardens, as well as former agricultural farms that have now been converted into luxury resorts.

Large olive groves and flower plantations still decorate the gardens of many properties.

On the other hand, the project to renovate and rehabilitate the city centre, to create luxury shops, car parks and a cultural centre is a real asset that makes Grasse a city on which to build.

Foreign investors are making no mistake and are settling en masse in all the city’s districts, attracted by a luxurious and modern lifestyle, while retaining a certain authentic charm.
